Continuous Learning Policy

 


  1. Delivery of continuous learning opportunities for all students, including special student populations:

We will communicate with students using the Edmodo platform, email, and Zoom meetings.



 
 
  1.  Communication of expectations for continuous learning implementation to 1. ) students, 2.) families, and 3.) staff:

Expectations will be communicated to stakeholders by Edmodo, email, Zoom meeting software, and telephone calls.



 
 
  1. Student access to academic instruction, resources, and supports during continuous learning:

Academic instruction will be communicated through Edmodo.  Teachers will also use a variety of instructional resources, such as Scholastic On-line, Edulastic.com, ReadWorks.org.  Teachers will be available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to answer questions and offer support.


 

 

4.  Equipment and tools are available to staff and students to enable your continuous learning plan: 

School textbooks are available to all students.  I Pads may be offered to families without adequate technology.



 
 
  1. How educators and support staff are expected to connect with students and families on an ongoing basis:

Teachers will communicate to students and families through Edmodo, email, Zoom Meeting software, and telephone calls.


 
 
  1. Methods of feedback to students:

Feedback will be provided by Edmodo and email.



 

 

 

Section Two:  Achievement and Attendance  

 


  1. Does your continuous learning plan provide an avenue for students to earn high school credits? If so, describe the approach.

Elementary classes will only be provided at SBJA.


 
 
  1. Attendance policy for continuous learning:

 

Attendance will be taken at 9 A.M. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Attendance will be taken through submissions of quizzes and assignments, or “liking” a comment on Edmodo.



 
 
  1. Long-term goals to address skill gaps for the remainder of the school year:

Students who experience gaps in skills will be instructed through Zoom meetings, and tutored using Khan Academy or Moby Max websites.



 

 

 

Section Three:  Staff Development 

 


  1. Professional development plan for continuous learning:

Professional development will be done on a personal need basis.  As opportunities arise, staff will be encouraged to participate in online professional development programs.
